Kotlin

Digitization of damage detection and inspection of vehicles at a car workshop

Client is a French start-up focused on developing an AI technology dedicated to the detection of motor damages and automating the diagnostic process.

The client aspires to become the leader application in the damage identification and inspection space

Objective

The objective of our project was to create a mobile app for the workshop owners to help them make damaged cars’ inspections in record time.

Results

A very optimized app (14Mo in size), that works on most mobiles (including small and budget phones) shop owners to make car inspections in just 2 minutes

Delivery

Functional android app (MVP in 5 weeks and two releases with additional features in 12 weeks) with the following features:

Ability to take pictures and send them for treatment in an optimized user experience
Use of Artificial Intelligence to quickly inspect and detect damages
Ability to generate reports and proposals to shops’ customers

Speed

App designed to speed up the execution time (14 Mb in size)
Fast loading time of the pictures taken
The AI is thorough and requires limited iterations
The total treatment time with the app is clocked at 2 min per car
